RaviKondda's Contribution to Education in India

My Contributions towards the field of Education.

Having had 30 Years of experience at Executive Officer level and later as Advisor in the Department Continuing Education (Distant Education), at I.I.T Madras, My top priority is providing skills & Development to young Generations according to their likes.
Education, Skill Development, Employment, Higher Education & Career Growth.

Now retired, I want to help the young generation in providing education, Skill Development & Employment.

Initial Education means upto +2 level. Not all children are gifted with ability to take up Higher education. There is no point in forcing your children to work hard and crack the JEE exams for entry to IITs or NEET to enter Medical.  When they do not have the required intelligence or inclination for it, they will never succeed.  Instead let them pursue their line of interest.

From the past 30 years of my work at IIT, I have been a part of collection OF enormous amounts of resources materials for education starting from school level to Masters level and even up to Research level.  I am now sharing here the vast amount of Resources materials available in the Internet, produced since 1989, by various IITs & IISC.

Following are the projects for which I have contributed. The resource materials from all these projects will still be useful for helping the Young Generations.

Swayam Prabha – A free DTH channel for Education, an MHRD – Government of India project – National Mission on Education through ICT.(information & Communication Technology)
a.    School Education (9th standard to 12 standard levels) : Modules for teacher’s training as well as teaching and learning aids for children of India to help them understand the subjects better and also help them in preparing for competitive examinations for admission to professional degree programmes.
b.    Assist students (class 11th & 12th) prepare for competitive examinations.

These videos can also be accessed on Doordarshan Freedish DTH. Complete list of videos is available at (Channel 19,20,21 and 22)

N.P.T.E.L (National Project on Technology Enhanced Learning)
Content in the form of Video lectures by IIT/IISc Professors in Courses for Engineering in most of the subjects are available free on-line.
This was initiated by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee) along with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2003. Five core disciplines were identified, namely, civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering and mechanical engineering and 235 courses in web/video format were developed in this phase ending 2008.
(2009-14) An additional 600 web and video courses were created in all major branches of engineering, physical sciences at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and management courses at the postgraduate level.
Highlights of this Project :-
Largest online repository in the world of courses in engineering, basic sciences and selected humanities and social sciences subjects
Online web portal http://nptel.ac.in – more than 471 million+ views
Youtube channel for NPTEL – most subscribed educational channel, 1.5 million+ channel subscribers, 404 million+ views
More than 56000 hours of video content

M.Tech On-line courses :-
This course has been started in IIT Madras and is meant for Engineers employed in various organizations to pursue higher education through on-line course and obtain an M.Tech Degree.

G.I.A.N (Global Initiative for Academic Networking)

This is an initiative by Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India to share world class Engineering & Technology knowledge beyond Master’s degree level and for application to Research and Development.  Professors are invited from various Universities around the world to give lectures in their field of specialisation and these have been video recorded and stored in Archives.
